Rodd Stein 2R WEB72Rodd Stein, MD, FAAP

After finishing his residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1999, Dr. Rodd Stein moved up to Westchester, joined Yorktown Pediatric Group (now part of Westchester Health Pediatrics) and has been there ever since.

I am happily married to Dr. Christine Hom (Pediatric Rheumatologist) and have two children. I love cooking, eating and talking about food with my patients. My hobbies include martial arts (black belt in Jujitsu and Aiki Jujitsu) and swimming (volunteer lifeguard at Camp Sunshine), and I would not object to picking up the tuba again (played for 13 years, including orchestra, quintets and several Drum and Bugle Corps).

What I love most about being a pediatrician is the ability to care for my patients year after year which lets me develop a rapport with them and their parents. I spend hours every day in the office seeing patients and on the phone counseling parents, doing my best to help them. This includes coordinating care with specialists, many of whom I know personally and one of whom I know intimately. I have been and always will be completely devoted to my patients’ needs, even going so far as to make the occasional emergency house call.
