Robert Pitaro, MD
Dr. Pitaro, from the age of four, aspired to become a pediatrician like his own pediatrician, keeping children healthy and happy. His formative and extensive training was primarily obtained in various hospital ER’s treating illnesses at urgent care level and assisting in procedures and surgeries.
In 1990, Dr. Pitaro founded his practice, Mill Pond Pediatrics (now part of Westchester Health Pediatrics) in Somers, where he established a happy and comforting atmosphere for infants to young adults. In 2007, he proudly co-founded Westchester Health Associates.
Dr. Pitaro’s warmth and understanding helps parents through all stages of parenthood, and his chief goal has always been to provide the best medical service with a comfortable and compassionate family element.
I love Pediatrics. There is no other specialty that allows you to watch the transformation of a little infant into a young adult. Seeing my patients grow into healthy, vibrant, successful adults is such a gratifying feeling. When my patients make the full circle to adulthood choosing me as their own baby’s pediatrician, it is the biggest compliment and greatest sign of trust. I care for all my patients as if they were my own children. I create a rapport with patients and their parents so they always feel comfortable calling me at any time with any question or concern because we are family.
My other interests are travelling, gardening and reading mysteries and historical biographies.
